Company historyThe company was founded in 1954 by chief engineer Friedrich Hippe and began with the production of mechanical equipment and spare parts for railway signalling. The production and plant grew continually so that very soon the company had more than 100 employees.  | (1954) | In 1973, the founder, Friedrich Hippe, handed the company over to his son, ‘Diplomingenieur’ Hans-Gerhard Hippe. Under his management, the company continued to expand and a quality management system was developed. This resulted in the certification of the company to DIN EN ISO 9002 (April 1995) with subsequent change-over to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 (October 2001). The company is also classified as a Q1 authorised supplier for Deutsche Bahn AG (October 1997). | (2003) |
In 2003, Master of Business Administration, Dr. rer. pol. Hendrik Hippe, grandson of the company founder, took over management of the company.
